I have an issue with IBricker .91 recognising my phone after trying to down grade to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 using Vista 32 bit and Itunes 7.6.13 >? The newest one I read a blog that if you were an ATT coustomer and had a valid account then you could upgrade to 1.1.3 then down grade to 1.1.1 the jail break ok to prep then got to 1.1.2 and jail berak and then the soft upgrade to 1.1.3 and everthing would work. Well da... I tried it and guess what I am stuck with 1.1.3 I have the 3.9 boot loader unless the upgrade changed it (which I doubt) but I can't get IBricker .91 to see my phone after the downgrdae and I get to the screen with the USB cable and the CD with the Itunes logo on it. I have tried every thing would you please help Thanks In advance Wes

hi , i downloaded the i brickr and the software didctetd my iphone , and i added a ringtone but i cant find in my phone, but it was shown on the fake iphone ,,, i have the v 1.1.1 what can i doo please help me

HELP!!! S.O.S. LOST, Gilligan's Island ALL OF THE ABOVE. I have the iphone justed locked with the plug into itunes screen and I have tried everything to kick it out of that screen but nothing works, I keep on getting error 1603. My girl accidentally updgraded and now I tried to fix and now this is where I'm stuck. Can some BRIGHT individual HELP or Team help ME PLEASE!!!! I'm in distress!! Step by step hel pI'm a novice at teh iphone but not to the PC. I use WINDOWS. Thanks for whatever help you can offer.

I just restored iPhone from iTunes to v1.1.3.
When i check thru ibrickr,it told me what your iPhone is installed version 1.1.3
Iphone always show me picture with cable-arrow-iTunes icon

Like I said earlier people who upgraded to 1.1.3 either by accident of thinking that they would be able to have full functionality after upgrading then downgrading then running the 1.1.3 jailbreak thus jailbroken with the mew baseband and replacing the lockdown file (me from 1.1.1 Jailbroken)are having an issue with windows (ME Vista Home Prem 32 bit) and I bricker being able to see our phone and kick it out of recovery mode on the downgrading step of this process Nate I know your really busy but there are more than one person with this issue your infinate wisdome and abilities would be greatly apreacated. Here is what I did and where I got stuck. I'll mark it with seven ! points and then describe what happens next.

This how-to is to end up with a perfectly working Jailbroken 1.1.3 phone for AT&T iTunes activated or other iTunes Activated (UK-O2, GM-T-Mobile) carrier-locked customers. The basic goal of this guide is to upgrade to stock 1.1.3 and then downgrade to 1.1.1 and keep the 1.1.3 baseband all the way through the 1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.3 jailbreak and update process, and then finally transfer over the 1.1.3 lockdownd file.

This method works with either Natetrue's, or Devteams Jailbreak. It's wrriten for Natetrue's, but if you wish to use Devteams, follow the same steps except skip 11. Perform step 12 first, and then proceed with the Devteam jailbreak. After the Devteam jailbreak, proceed to step 13.

With this quick how-to you will get:

1.1.3 Jailbroken w/ all features
Google "Locate Me" working natively(you don't need 3rd party apps to help)
Default Ringtones working out of the gate.
Processor and Memory clock increase of 1.1.2.
Working phone w/ latest baseband
Wiggily icons! (You know that's why you are upgrading!)


Stuff you'll need to have beforehand:
Windows XP (You could use a Mac, but the process and applications are a bit different and I don't know it)
Carrier Locked Phone w/ SIM. (US-AT&T, UK-O2, etc.)
WiFi Internet.
2 hours.

The main headings provide the basic information, and beneath it are the details. Just a couple of warnings up front: you'll lose your current 3rd party apps (oh noes), do not downgrade your baseband, and do not mess with or do anything with your phone or computer while it's doing an update.

so here goes:

1. Prepping iTunes and back up files.
Install latest version of iTunes, restart PC.
Turn off automatic syncing and launching of iTunes when you connect your phone
Backup your phone in iTunes.
Manually backup your pictures via Windows explorer just in case.

2. DFU Restore to 1.1.3 stock
Connect your phone to your PC and open iTunes.
Hold down the power and home buttons on your phone.
When your phone goes black and you hear the disconnect beep, release the power button while still holding down the home button. After about 20 seconds or so you'll hear the connect and disconnect beep, and iTunes will show a message about your phone being in recovery mode.
Shift-Click on RESTORE and select your 1.1.3 file.
After that is complete you should have a relatively normal and boring 1.1.3 phone.

3. DFU Restore to 1.1.1
Connect your phone to your PC and open iTunes.
Hold down the power and home buttons on your phone.
When your phone goes black and you hear the disconnect beep, release the power button while still holding down the home button. After about 20 seconds or so you'll hear the connect and disconnect beep, and iTunes will show a message about your phone being in recovery mode.
Shift click on RESTORE, and find your 1.1.1 file.
After the restore is complete you'll get an error

4. Normal Recover to 1.1.1
After iTunes gives you an error about your first restore, shift-click and RESTORE again, and select the 1.1.1 file again. After the restore is complete you'll get another error.


!!!!!!! Stuck here I Bricker won't recognise my phone Vista busy thing just spins and does nothing.!!!!!!!


5. iBrickr .91 to boot your phone.
Your phone should now be stuck with a connect to itunes message or something.
Extract iBrickr .91, and run the iBrickr.exe
Click "boot my phone"
Afterwards your phone screen should be red, and your phone will eventually boot up.


6. Jailbreak 1.1.1
Your phone will say something like "bad sim card" or whatever. This is fine, remember, we're not going to get the actual phone part to work until the last step.
Slide for emergency and call *#306#. Then call 0, Hit answer, then hold, then decline.
Now hit the contacts button. Make a new contact and give it two URL addresses. prefs: and jailbreakme.com
Save your contact and hit the prefs: URL, this will bring you to the services app.
Setup your wifi connection, and set the autolock to never, hit the home button.
Slide for emergency, dial 0, hit answer, then hold, then decline.
Hit contacts again, goto your contact and hit jailbreakme.com, then install appsnapp.
Your phone should now be a nice iPod touch.


7. Restore phone from backup or setup as new phone
iTunes will now recognize your phone, and ask you to restore from backup(if you have one).
I restored my phone at this point, because I wanted to keep all the pictures and contacts that I didn't backup. I guess you could just create a new phone if you wanted to.
Go ahead and restore (or don't). This might take a while depending on how much music, videos and pictures you had.

8. Prep for 1.1.2 Jailbreak
After the restore is complete, goto installer.app and install Ocktoprep under 1.1.1 tweaks.
Do not install anything else at this time, including the installer app update.

9. UPDATE to 1.1.2
Go into iTunes and shift click on UPDATE and select your 1.1.2 file. NOTE: Do not hit restore, shift-click UPDATE.
After this is complete you'll get an error.

10. Jailbreak 1.1.2
Extract the 1.1.2 jailbreak package and open the windows.bat file
Tell it to boot your phone.
After the boot is complete, don't bother with installing SSH, and tell it to Jailbreak your phone.
This jailbreak takes quite a while, and will boot your phone a few times IIRC.


11. Upgrade to 1.1.3
So we now have our 1.1.2 iPhone jailbroken w/o phone capabilities.
Extract the iBrickr 1.1.3 special edition and run the ibrickr.exe.
Follow the simple instructions in the application.
You should now have a 1.1.3 phone without phone capabilities.

12. Install BSD 2.0 & SSH
Run installer.app and don't bother downloading the new version yet.
Install BSD subsystem 2.0 under the system heading.
Install the latest version of SSH
Exit out of installer.

13. Transfer lockdownd chmod 777
Install WinSCP to your PC and launch it.
Got into your settings app on your phone and find out your phones IP address.
In WinSCP click on NEW, type in your phones IP, username is root, password is alpine. You can then click on the advanced options and connections and set the timeout to 60 seconds. Click Save.
Click Login, after about 30-45 seconds or so you'll be prompted with some big warning message, just hit OK. You should now be looking at your phones file system.
On the left side, navigate to the directory where you downloaded the lockdownd file. On the right side of the window, navigate to /usr/libexec.
Rename the phone version of lockdownd to lockdownd_old. Drag your new lockdownd file into this directory.
Right click on the new file you just transfered over and set the permissions to 0777, or just click all the check boxes in the first second and third columns. Hit OK, and then verify just incase.
Disconnect your phone, close iTunes, Reboot your phone.
Open iTunes and then connect your phone. iTunes should instantly activate your phone.

DONE! Everything should work fine now, including your phone, the hybrid google maps, locate me, your default ringtones, and of course installer! Feel free to install all of your applications back! The only other thing I had to do in addition to all of this was re-add my gmail account.






This is what I had to do to get my phone to work for now till I get some help to downgrade it

I found that if I do a DMF restore to 1.1.3 the phone will work normaly may have to do this twice but I can't downgrade to 1.1.1. I have a current ATT IPhone account so if you have to be unlocked this won't help you but if valid ATT Account this should work for you too

Hey, Nate. Rather than all the complaints you recieve, I just wated to say thanks. It worked perfectly, and I'm now in 1.1.3 for all my friends to envy =). I did it from a 1.1.1 to 1.1.3. It worked as planned, and smoothly. Again thank you very much for your efforts. =)

I don't know-i'm stoopid or not,but i can't foud IP address my iphone!In general->about are only Wi-Fi address,bluetooth,IMEI and ICCID!

Hey i have had an iphone (unlocked and jailbroken) but it was stolen recently i want a new one but i dont want to pay $700 for an unlocked iphone since i can unlock it myself easy but theres no 1.1.3 unlock that i know about do u know anywhere where i can buy one thats not 1.1.3 thats around $450 or if u know of any unlocks for it thanks

After going through google I haven't been able to find an answer. ..and I am hoping you can help me.
I updated my iphone to 1.1.3 from 1.1.1 it was working fine for a day or 2, and then I started losing it's wi-fi signal and everytime I tried charging it, it would say no service at the top instead of my network "Fido". And then it just completely lost it's charge and now won't charge back up or do anything. It only shows a white screen and rotating wheel loading sign at the bottom when I plug into itunes. I tried to downgrade to 1.1.1 got error 1604, and when I try and Restore and upgrade to 1.1.3 i get error 6.

PLS HELP ME OUT!!!!

Hey Nate

I'm a fan of your creations. I was thinking of building something similar to your goo fountain. Why did you build your own pump rather than buying one - such as a bilge pump, which sells on Ebay for about $30 - or dismantling a chocolate fountain for the auger pump? Do you think these pumps will do? I'm thinking of making a thick white pudding fountain.

Hey!


Im in real trouble i told a friend to restore his iphone from 1.1.2 jailbroken to 1.1.1, because some stuff didnt work.
We got an error.
so he restored into 1.1.2 (succesful), the message to activate came... the next step would have been to restore to 1.1.1, but itunes didnt let us.
It showed "getting started-activate you iphone"
so we than ran ibrickr and it said download 1.0.2 firmware and we said yes. then as it finished downloading we closed ibrickr and started it again,
and it said downgrade to 1.0.2 . we clicked it and than the iphone showed a green screen and whenever it is started now, it shows some text going over the display, but that fast that i cant read anything....... something with darwin kernel...
and it crashes every time after 10 secs
... neither ibrickr nor itunes can see the iphone....



We use itunes v7.5 and win xp sp2
Sorry for that wrong spelling etc im in trouble i am a student now having money to pay it...

I've tried 6 times (no joke!!) downgrade 1.1.3 then upgrade back, each time I'm stuck at the Connect to itunes screen!! iTunes provides an error message: SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY IPHONE PLEASE TAKE IT TO AN APPLE STORE. When I attempt to use iNdependence 1.3.2 Beta it provides a error message about firmware version 1.1.3 not supported.

HI Nate,

I need your help, because i buy a lock iphone, and try to use the ibrickr software.

When i run the software the ibrickr ask me for update from itunes the last version, i said ok and wait about 10min (the recomended was 3-4min),
but my iphone got a view with a green color. So, i turn it off, and started again with the ibrickr and itunes but anyone of this softwares recognize my phone.

Now in the iphone view, apears a repeat process data (perhaps bios phone), and next phone shutdown, and the error repeat again.

Perhaps, one of the problem was caused i forget to put it off the sim card.


So, how can i solve this problem, if i can't go to the restore mode?

Please HELP, Thank you.

HI there, I cannot find the 1.1.3 soft upgrade. I have tried entering the iclarified adress into sources,
but i still cannot see it under all packages, i have refreshes it for 5 times and still nothing.
