<title>Comment on iPhone dock disassembled by jalas</title>

Did the dock come apart relatively easily when you opened it up? Also, I was looking at the pics of the pcb, and there's a suspicious looking little part with 6 pins just to the right of the HCF4098. From what you're able to tell, does it look like a resistor network to you, or perhaps something else? My current quest is to build an AUX in cable for my iPhone... one that my iPhone doesn't decide is &quot;not compatible with iPhone.&quot; If I can build a cable that looks (at least signal-wise) like a dock to the iPhone, I should be able to avoid the incompatibility messages. Any ideas?
