Not-So-Free Fountain Table

All > Home > Furniture > Not-So-Free Fountain Table by mpv
The creation of this fountain table came about because I had simply acquired a free fountain pump while working for a lawn and landscape company. The fountain was created last summer. I physically hauled the rocks up from Lake Michigan where my wife helped me pick them out. The smaller rocks come from various trips (honeymoon, etc...) that we've taken. This is my first piece of furniture that I have ever made. I think it turned out very well even though there are a few mistakes. I have learned to check and double check all cuts, measurements and saftey stoppers. A free pump has cost more than someone could really expect!

This table is made from Red Oak solid and ply woods, and is put together with dove tail joints. It is strong enough to hold all these rocks and about three gallons of water! Also, there is one black bucket, one pump, a broken up mirror, a mister with LED lights and two submersible hallogen finger lights.

More pictures and details about how to create a fountain table like this of your own will come soon. (My beautiful wife put all this up so that I'd have a basis to work off when I get the dimensions, etc. in a good format for putting up here.)

Also to come: End Tables and if Jesse is able to take some good pictures of a cane I made, that too!

Very nice. I've been considering something like this myself. It'd be great to see your plans for ideas!
