some shirts.

All > Fashion > Clothing > some shirts. by esther
some number of summers ago, i believe it was two, i woke up one morning and said to myself "i need a silkscreen right now to make mollee a birthday present." and then i got up and went out and got one.
it was the most initiative i think i have ever shown. and, unlike, aikido, guitar, violin (which, in my defense, i spent four years doing so no one can say i didn't give it a chance. i gave it so much of a chance), soccer, kickboxing, collecting rather nice wooden stamps, and also everything else in my life, this is something that i've kept at and have no intention of quitting, and harbor no secret hatred for, unlike soccer, which after the first year was kind of boring, and after the eight was torturous.
basically, these are some of the shirts i made.

for those who know julian, you might recognize him, for those who don't, thats a shame, but he looks like this.
sort of.

this shirt wasn't supposed to be creepy on my behalf, i just thought it was a neat picture that i wanted to make into a stencil, and then i did, and then it looked empty, so i added the gold rays of light, and then i said "uh oh, now i sure seem like the creepiest girlfriend ever."
even more creepy than JD was in heathers, if anyone knows what i'm talking about.
but he was a boyfriend.
and actually no, he was kind of creepier.
...but its still a good movie.
this is one i think i made for my brothers birthday last year (incidentally, its my brothers birthday today, happy birthday zev!), its a picture of him playing guitar.
this is my family, i made it for my dads most recent birthday. theres a bit of a glare, but thats because my dad insisted on framing it, which i said was silly, since then he cant wear it.
but oh well, it is his shirt he may do as he please.
these are the stencils i used for the shirt above, its not an excellent picture because i shot it really quickly on my way out of the basement, since it was spooky down there and i was in a hurry to get back to my room, where there are probably less ghosts and demonic skeletal babies.

this was the only stencil that i had on hand at the time, and like i said, it was spooky so i didn't have time to get other ones, but i have the stencils for all of them except my brother playing guitar, which is a bummer because i liked the image, and it'll take forever to do again since the frets were the worst thing to cut out ever, and also ill have to re-draw it.
but this one isn't really up for another use, since i was out of my stencil material and had to use paper to make it, and thats not really that durable.
with this one, i was just pleased that the three piece stencil worked, since with more than one color you need more that one layer.
all the designs on here i took the picture for, made into a stencil, and then silkscreened myself, except for this one, which i only made into a stencil and silkscreened, since ive never actually had the pleasure of meeting optimus prime myself.
someday....

anyway, this was based off a drawing i found on the interweb.

Esther Those designs are covetable, we must combine our T-shirt skills to make sweet more T-shirts.

Fosho. Actually, I have a sweatshirt I got for my friend's birthday but I wanted to make it cooler, I think maybe you saw it already. Anyway, I'd love some help sometime on it, since its black so silkscreening wouldnt work, but I think it would look neat all bleached up if you and Brenda ever want to team up on a hoodie with me and probably Julian.
