I feel that it's ready for a public release. Essentially, it provides a GUI for the .jar file. Those of you that already use the .jar file will find this as a great shortcut and those of you that have been putting off using the .jar file because it is too complicated will be able to have the same functionality in a far simpler form.

Notes:
- Navigate to your .artwork file using the file browser
- Select your target directory from the drop down list of sub-folders contained within your .artwork's directory
- Choose import or export
- Press Go

The Executable Setup file can be downloaded http://planet-iphones.com/wp-content/filez/iPhoneShop%20Setup.exe

In my previous experiences with removing the sim tray, I got fed up with using household items that were slippery between the figers, too long, or not quite the right diameter so I designed what I call The "iTool".

At just under 2" long, this unique and innovative tool has been specifically engineered to open the sim card tray on the Apple iPhone. It is made out of galvanized steel and has a flexible rubberized coating on the handle. The unique shape provides a comfortable, controlled grip and fits perfectly between your finger tips. In my opinion the iTool is the best way to remove the sim card tray.

I need a lot of cables with me in my laptop bag when I travel, mostly to connect up portable hard drives and other miscellaneous gadgets.

The problem I was having was that all the cables would tangle together, so I'd have to pick up a big wad of cable and extract the one I needed every time.

To some degree, rolling up the cables in wide loops (as you can see inside the bags here) helped. But they still got tangled every once in a while, and my bag did not have enough pockets to give each cable its own.

So finally I got fed up with it all, and decided to make some more pockets. Since the backpack pockets were made of cloth I figured that it might be good to use cloth.

But sewing is tedious without a sewing machine. So I looked around my room and behold, a pinkish anti-static bag was lying there from a shipment of PICs I had just received. It's a thin-ish plastic that still feels somewhat strong. I would..."
Read the rest of this post

Recently my good friend http://www.gearlive.com Andru Edwards and I got into a heated discussion about watches. My old Fossil Abacus PalmOS watch was getting pretty worn, and I was shopping around for new watches. Having seen a cool http://www.gearlive.com/news/article/q307-mp4-watch-all-musical/ video-playing watch over at Gear Live, I was thinking I might upgrade to one of those, purely for geek-bling factor.

Andru, being more grounded than I am as far as fashion is concerned, suggested that the video playing watches I was looking at (I was searching DealExtreme for MP4 Watch) were all profoundly lame. So he told me to go look at the TokyoFlash watches which tell time using discrete LEDs rather than using LCDs or large pixel counts.

I WANT TO KEEP MY MOVIE RENTALS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!! Well you can. This is not really a hack, just some Logic that apple lacked. If you cannot read the picture, it says 2191 days remaining. To do this, all you have to do is go into your system preferences and change the dadte to 6 yrs ago from the current date. This should give you the same day and time and month just not the same year so try to remember the date. It should just be natural. Then save and go into itunes and look at the movie rental. It should say ALOT OF DAYS REMAINING!!!!!!!!!! You cant, however, sync these movies to your ipod or iphone so if anyone can come up with a file transfer program to get these everlasting movies on that would be great. I will be working on one to. For mac, of course but if someone could beat me to the punch then hats off to you =)

So I looked around for simple and easy charging solutions. For a power source I decided on a lithium-ion battery pack, since they have such great energy densities. The pack I used was from an old Qualcomm phone, which I bought with charger from http://www.allelectronics.com All Electronics, a surplus electronics shop. Ok, so say you upgraded to 1.1.3 and now regret doing so and miss your third party apps and the only way to jailbreak a 1.1.3 is to start with a 1.1.2 jailbroken iphone but how do you get back to 1.1.2? It is possible to downgrade and upgrade again and still have the phone capabilities of this semi-magical device and in this guide, i will show you how. Take heed, i am not responsible for any complications that may arise with your particular iphone AKA bricked. Also, this process is lengthy and should not be performed on iphones with out of the box 1.1.3. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK< IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISHAPS!!!!!!! But you shouldnt worry because if you follow my instructions you should, in theroy, be ok =) If at any point in this you iphone goes into recovery then just launch independence. If you ever get main script execcution failed then all you have to do is restart your iphone. If this fails, then just restore to 1.1.1 and start again. I thought it might be uncomfortable to wear the original device at night so I installed it in a stardard sleeping mask. It works perfectly and even has a little pouch to easily reach in and switch it on and off. You can press the button through the mask too if you want. It's not rocket science but I thought people might want to see this variation to the mask.

The first night I used the mask it worked perfectly. I dreamt I was walking through a hallway and the lights above my head started blinking on and off. I looked up at them and then thought, "Oh yeah, it's the mask!" Then I woke up. The key is obviously to take control from that point.

Unfortunately I was on a plane a few months ago and accidentally left the mask in the seat pocket! That's why these images are poor quality. They're from my cell phone and are the only ones I have.
