The second paper is from one of my friends, he is very high in my class of 281 people or so. He only recieved an 8 of 10. He used real answer, while I just made stuff up with what I had known from all the History channel I watch.

One of the toys in my bag was a plastic burr puzzle - the sort of puzzle where you pull out one piece, and all the other pieces fall apart in your hand, never to be reassembled, and one piece ends up in the couch, dooming your best intentions to figure it out anyway.

As this puzzle was designed for small people, I figured I'd be able to solve it quickly, and after a day or two of fiddling with it while watching television, I got frustrated and resorted to writing a Python program to analyze the puzzle and report solutions.

As it turns out, there are two independent solutions, after you remove rotations and reflections. Great salvage opportunities abound in this part of the Bay Area. Still lots of industrial flotsam and jetsam about. Most cities have been scrubbed clean of anything interesting or useful, not West O! Just yesterday I found a box of solenoid valves and pressure-stats, Two weeks ago I found a commercial grade weed whacker with a broken string feed mechanism and a running 24cc motor, Score!
