I got my hands on what were discarded granite tomb stones, as they were replaced with bronze markers instead. They were already broken in half, and perfect for the operation. Each one was 3 inches thick solid granite, with 4 holes each. Each was super duper heavy. I used 11 of them to complete the pond. 4 of them were used for the floor, and the other 7 were used for the wall. 3 in the back and 2 on each side. I had to use silicone to plug up all of the holes as well. The bottom ones were set in sand, and wedged together using whatever I could find. They were siliconed together and had the 16 holes siliconed shut. The wall pieces were lagged into the 4 x 4 treated wood frame using bolts with large washers. These holes were filled with silicone also. All seams were sealed with silicone. I managed to..."
